Profiled steel space frame installation process for space frame engineering

Steel plate installation is a crucial step in the construction process of space frame structures. Space frame structures are known for their high strength-to-weight ratio, making them ideal for large buildings such as airports, stadiums and exhibition halls.

The installation sequence of the space frame project roof panel is to install the roof base plate → install the bracket → lay the insulation cotton → lay the roof panel. Check whether the purlins are installed correctly and securely, and whether the steel components of the space frame are coated with paint or not; The profiled steel plate faces upwards, with the lapped side facing the installed roof, placed along the roof truss beams, and laid manually; each group of 4 people is responsible for laying, checking, and fixing work; the roof panels are laid at the cornice of the roof.

In the process of space frame processing and installation, the straightness of the cornice line is used as the benchmark, and the positioning of the pull lines is checked. The misalignment difference between the ends of two adjacent slabs shall not be greater than 8mm, and the slope of the roof slab shall be perpendicular to the cornice datum line; starting from one end of the roof, place a piece of the installation position line of the roof bottom slab. Lay a profiled steel plate and fix it with screws after checking. After a profiled steel plate is fixed in place, the next profiled steel plate is installed in place, and its lapped side is accurately placed on the previous profiled steel plate during installation. In order to ensure that the installation position is accurate, use a clamp to clamp the previous profiled steel plate, fix both ends of the profiled steel plate, and then fix it with screws.

The space frame uses the above method to install the profiled steel plate in place. For every 4 profiled steel plates installed, it is necessary to check the flatness of both ends of the profiled steel plate of the space frame. If there is any error, adjust it in time, and measure the width of the fixed profiled steel plate. Measure once at the upper and lower ends of the profiled steel plate to ensure that the profiled steel plate is installed accurately and no fan-shaped. The vertical lap length of the profiled steel plate is not less than 250mm, and then fixed with screws.

After a certain number of space frame roof slabs are installed, the installation of the roof panel support is started, and the support and purlins are fixed with screws. Then lay insulation cotton, which must be installed tightly; the installation of the roof panel is basically synchronized with the insulation cotton.
