The selection of membrane structure should be determined by comprehensive analysis according to the needs of architectural modeling and supporting conditions. The following forms can be chosen: overall tensioned membrane structure, skeleton-supported membrane structure, cable-supported membrane structure air-supported membrane structure, or a combination of the above forms of structure.
1. Integral tensioned membrane structure can be provided with lifting points by supporting members such as masts and anchorage points around the perimeter to form a stable system through pre-tensioning.
2. Skeleton-supported membrane structure should be made of steel members or other rigid members as the load-bearing skeleton, on which membrane materials tensioned according to the design requirements should be arranged.
3. The cable-supported membrane structure shall be supported by space cables as the main load-bearing structure, and the membrane material tensioned according to the design requirements shall be arranged on the cables.
4. Air-supported membrane structure should have airtight inflatable space and should be equipped with an inflatable device to maintain internal pressure, to keep the tension of membrane material with the help of internal pressure and form the curved surface as required by design.
