The 2×1000MW project of Shanghai Caojing Power Plant is located on the bank of Hangzhou Bay in the town of Jinshan District, the southern part of Shanghai. It is the closest building to Dajinshan Island, 105 meters above sea level in Shanghai with design service life 50 years. Won the 2009 Shanghai “King Kong Award”.
In the early stage of the project, many factors such as the geographical location of the power plant were fully considered. The layout of the project site is reasonable and the overall design is beautiful and generous. The project has built the first domestically-shaped variable-section chimney and the first integrated circular coal bunker in China. The completed power plant is not only a large-scale modern million-class thermal power plant, but also an industrial building with modern architectural aesthetics. It is a beautiful building Landscape.
